銀行に関する個人的な体験　：埼玉りそな銀行

１９９５年に、阪神・淡路大震災が起きました。当時働いていた兵庫県の建物が、倒壊はしなかったものの、危険な状態になってしまいました。そのため、そこで働いていた私たちは、東京オフィスに異動することになり、私が住むことにしたのは大宮市（今のさいたま市）でした。その当時のいきさつについては、別の記事で触れようと思います。

その新しい住処に一番近い銀行が、あさひ銀行（今は埼玉りそな銀行）だったので、給与の振込先銀行をそこにしたわけです。２０１４年に、神奈川県に引っ越すまで、２０年近く、この銀行を利用してきました。

２０１８年に、定期預金を解約しようと思ったのですが、埼玉りそな銀行の支店は神奈川県にはないのです。東京都でも、飯田橋駅から約１０分くらいの場所に支店が一つあるだけでした。幸い通勤路線の途中の駅だったので、休みを取って行きました。

あらかじめ地図を見てから行ったのですが、飯田橋駅は陸橋が複雑で、どちらに行けばいいかわからなくなり、駅前に掲示された地図を見ていました。そうしたら、スマートフォンを持った男性が近づいてきて、「どこに行かれますか？」と聞かれました。この銀行ですというと、スマートフォンで検索してくれて、行き方を教えてくれました。よっぽど私が困っているように見えたのかもしれません。が、とてもありがたかったです。

今のところ、道に迷ったところを教えてもらったのはこの時だけです。

そのようにして銀行にたどり着いたのですが、お客さんは誰もおらず、女性行員の人がとても親切に対応してくれました。一日で２回も、いい人に会えるのはめったにないことなので、印象に残っています。

Personal experience about banking　: Saitama Resona Bank

In 1995, the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake occurred. The building in Hyogo prefecture, where I was working at that time, did not collapse, but it became dangerous. Therefore, we who worked there were transferred to the Tokyo office, and I decided to live in Omiya City (now Saitama City). I will touch on the history of that time in another article.

The bank closest to the new residence was Asahi Bank (now Saitama Resona Bank), so I chose the bank to which my salary was transferred. I have been using this bank for almost 20 years until I moved to Kanagawa prefecture in 2014.

I wanted to cancel my time deposit in 2018, but there is no branch office of Saitama Resona Bank in Kanagawa prefecture. Even in Tokyo, there was only one branch about 10 minutes from Iidabashi station. Fortunately, it was a station on the way to work, so I took a day off.

I went after looking at the map in advance, but Iidabashi station had a complicated overpass, so I didn't know which way to go, so I was looking at the map posted in front of the station. Then a man with a smartphone approached me and asked, "Where are you going?" Speaking of this bank, he searched for it on his smartphone and told me how to get there. It may have seemed like I was in trouble. But I was very grateful.

So far, this is the only time I've been told where I got lost.

I arrived at the bank in that way, but there were no customers, and a female employee was very kind to me. I'm impressed because I rarely meet good people twice a day.
