「タクティクスオウガ」というテレビゲームの広告チラシにある言葉です。相当の時間をつぎ込んで楽しみました。これは、平面をあたかも立体のように見せるという、当時としては画期的なテレビゲームでした。また、剣聖ハボリムは忘れがたい登場人物でした。剣聖とよばれるのに、敵の集団を石化できる魔法を使えるのです。このテレビゲームはシリーズでしたが、未完のままになっているのが残念です。

落合のもとでは、カタルシスは一瞬で通り過ぎていく

プロ野球の広島カープに、長嶋清幸という選手がいました。１９８４年に彼は、２試合続けて、読売ジャイアンツのエースピッチャーから、サヨナラホームランを打ちました。私は、いきつけの中華料理店で夕飯を食べながら、そのシーンをテレビを見ていました。

彼は選手を引退した後、３年契約で、中日ドラゴンズのコーチになりました。契約が終わる２００６年に、中日ドラゴンズはリーグ優勝しました。彼は、コーチ契約を更新できると思っていたが、落合監督は容赦なく彼をクビにしました。『嫌われた監督』では、その様子を、このように描写しています。

「優勝したのに責任とらされるんだから．．．。前代未聞だろう。もうこの時期、どのチームもコーチの枠に空きはないよ．．．。それも計算ずくだろ」
職を失ったばかりの長嶋はそう言うと、投げやりな薄笑いを浮かべた。（中略）プロ野球界では誰もがまずペナントレース優勝を願う。それが果たされれば、少なくともそのシーズンだけは、別れのない、痛みのない、幸せな秋を迎えられるとの思いがあるからだ。だが、落合のチームは、日本シリーズが終わってから二日しか経っていないというのに、もう殺伐とした人事に揺れていた。あの東京ドームでの歓喜からはまだ半月しか経っていなかった。落合のもとでは、カタルシスは一瞬で通り過ぎていく。

しかし、落合氏が中日ドラゴンズのジェネラルマネージャーを務めていた２０１４年に、長嶋氏は再びコーチとして雇われました。不思議なことです。二人の間に何があったのでしょうか。

"There is despair with hope, and glory with sadness" is a blurb of a video game advertising leaflet called "Tactics Ogre". I spent a lot of time and enjoyed it. This was an epoch-making video game at that time, which made a plane look like a three-dimensional object. Also, a character called "Habolim" was unforgettable. Even though he is called a master swordsman, he can use magic that can petrify a group of enemies. This video game was a series, but it's a shame that it's still unfinished.

There was a player named Kiyoyuki Nagashima in the professional baseball Hiroshima Carp. In 1984, he hit a goodbye home run from the Yomiuri Giants ace pitcher for two games in a row. I was watching the scene on TV while eating dinner at my favorite Chinese restaurant.

After retiring as a player, he became a coach of the Chunichi Dragons with a three-year contract. In 2006, when the contract ended, the Chunichi Dragons won the league title. He thought he could renew his coach contract, but Mr. Ochiai , who was the manager of Chunichi Dragons , mercilessly fired him. In the book "The Hated Manager", the situation is described in this way.

"It's unheard of for a coach to quit even though the team won. At this time, no team has a vacancy in the coaching space . He must have done it on purpose." says Nagashima, who just lost his job, with a throwing smile. Everyone in the professional baseball world first wishes to win the pennant race. If that is done, at least winner will have a happy autumn without farewell, painlessness. However, Mr.Ochiai's team was shaken by the murderous personnel only two days after the end of the Japan Series.
