私が買ったもの　：　その８　ダチョウ抗体マスク

『あの病気』の陰に隠れてすっかり聞かれなくなった鳥インフルエンザのことだけど、危険性がなくなったわけではない。鳥インフルエンザの人への感染に備えておこうと思って、数年前に買ったのが、このダチョウ抗体マスクだった。

ずっと置いていたのだけれど、使うなら今だ、と思って通勤時に使うことにした。効果があるのかどうかはわからない。

買ってから５年間は使えます、とあるのだけれど、買ってから６年近くたってしまった。特有の匂いがするのだが、ひょっとしたら効果が弱まってしまったかもしれない。

また、箱には有効期限が書かれていない。『通販生活』の購入履歴を見て、このマスクを買った時期が分かったのである。

今の状況では、まだこれから先も必要かもしれない、と思い、『通販生活』のサイトを見て、申し込んだが、品切れのようである。計算上は、あと２ヶ月分のマスクは残っているが、その間に新しいマスクを入手できるだろうか？

今売っているダチョウ抗体マスクは、『あの病気』への対策もできている、とサイトには書かれている。
２５枚で５千円だから、相当高価だが、ワクチン接種が進まない状況では、買う人が多いのだろう。
