BSA Fall 2023 Scout-O-Rama
2023年11月4日（土）米軍施設の多摩ヒルズにて「2023 SCOUT-O-RAMA」が開催。日米のスカウトが集まり秋の晴天下で、BSA-FECが準備したプログラムを楽しみました。日本のスカウトにとって日米の混成メンバーでのゲーム挑戦、BSAのスカウト・グッズやお菓子・飲み物などのスカウト・ショップ、BSA流の昼食＆夕食、そして一日の最後を飾るキャンプファイア等の異文化交流を体験しました。
The 2023 SCOUT-O-RAMA was held on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Tama Hills, a U.S. military facility. Scouts from Japan and the U.S. gathered under sunny autumn weather to enjoy a program prepared by the BSA-FEC. Japanese Scouts experienced cross-cultural exchanges with game challenges with mixed members from Japan and the U.S., a Scout store with BSA Scouting goods, U.S. snacks and drinks, BSA-style lunch and dinner, and a campfire to end the day.
日米スカウトは２０名づつ９つのグループに分かれて、施設内に用意された各プログラムを回ります。
プログラムの合間や昼食後に、スカウト・ショップでスカウト達は買い物。おつりの米ドル札を手に異文化を体験。
During breaks in the program or after lunch, the scouts go shopping at the scout shop. They experience a different culture with the US dollar bills in their change.
夕食の後は、最後のプログラム「キャンプファイヤー」で締めくくり。動画の映像は暗いのでキャンプファイヤーの炎のみですが、日米スカウトからのキャンプファイヤーのソングを紹介します。
After dinner, we wrapped up with the final program "Campfire". The video is dark so you can only see the flames of the campfire, but we would like to introduce some campfire songs from Japanese and American scouts.
神奈川からの参加スカウトに用意した記念の缶バッジ。スカウトには各自に５個を渡し、自分用を除いた４個をパッチ交換もしくは新しい友達にプレゼントするミッションを与えました。成果を聞くのが楽しみです。
These are the commemorative badges we prepared for the scouts who participated from Kanagawa. We gave each scout five badges and assigned them a mission to exchange four of them with patches or give them to new friends, excluding the one for themselves. We can't wait to hear about their results.
