読書日記 「パチンコ」が途中

続けていた日記が止まってしまった。お酒が入ると文が書けない。
あまり気負わずに日記は書きたいので、無理せずに、と思っていても間が開くとそわそわしてしまう。

この数日、ミン・ジン・リー著の「パチンコ」に挑んでいた。全米図書賞、最終候補作にあがり、アメリカで100万部突破。四世代にわたる在日コリアン一家の物語。

オバマ大統領はこのようなコメントで本書を推薦していたらしい。

オバマ大統領と違い、日本に生きていて、もう少しリアリティをもって本書を読めるからこそ、本書に出ている人々がその場にいた時代について調べながら読み進めている。

時間がかかる読み方をした方がいい本。読み切ったらまた感想を書こうと思う。
