Country insurance:
You must join the insurance if you meet the conditions set for each insurance policy.
This is different from private insurance (such as life insurance) in that it is mandatory.
.
.
.
・The government:.
Each insurance policy
has a specific organization that administers the policy.
Since it is a national insurance policy, the government has final control.
.
.
・Signing up for an insurance policy:
Except for Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance,
each worker's information is
registeres with the government (each insurance organization).
.
The information asked by the company at the time of join company is used for this purpose.
(basic pension number, individual number called "my number", etc.)
.
.
・Pay insurance premiums:
Except for Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance, both the company and the worker pay premiums, and the company pays the premiums borne by the worker to the government (each respective insurance organization) as well.
.
The premiums paid by the workers
will deduct from each worker's salary every month.
.
How much the amount is written in the deduction column of the pay stub.
.
.
.
・Benefits (money, etc.):
In principle, the company notifies the government (the respective insurance organization) and benefits will paid directly to the worker.
.
For example
When a worker got injure during work, the company reports the accident to the Labour Standards Inspection Office.
.
If the national government examines the report and acknowledges that it is indeed an injury sustained at work, the national government will provide benefits.
This may result in free medical treatment for the injured worker. etc
.
.
.
・Exceptions:
Notification is
not only from the company → the government, but also from the worker → the government.
