Ubunut 18.04でCloudWatchエージェントを使いディスク使用率を監視する方法

Ubunut 18.04でCloudWatchエージェントを使いディスク使用率監視の設定をしたときに手間取ったのでメモしておきます。

collectdのインストール

CloudWatchエージェントはcollectdがインストールされていることが前提になっているため手動でインストールします。

# CloudWatchエージェントが依存するcollectdのインストール
sudo apt update -y && sudo apt install collectd -y

CloudWatchエージェントのインストール

# インストール
wget https://s3.amazonaws.com/amazoncloudwatch-agent/ubuntu/amd64/latest/amazon-cloudwatch-agent.deb
sudo dpkg -i -E ./amazon-cloudwatch-agent.deb

設定ファイルを作成

ウィザードに従って設定ファイルを作成します。

ロールの作成とEC2インスタンスへのアタッチ

AWSコンソールを使いCloudWatchAgentServerPolicyポリシーを持つロールを作成しEC2インスタンスにアタッチします。

エージェントを起動

以下のコマンドでエージェントを起動します。

sudo /opt/aws/amazon-cloudwatch-agent/bin/amazon-cloudwatch-agent-ctl -a fetch-config -m ec2 -s -c file:/opt/aws/amazon-cloudwatch-agent/bin/config.json

エージェントを開始したら念の為エラーが出ていないことを確認します。

tail  /opt/aws/amazon-cloudwatch-agent/logs/amazon-cloudwatch-agent.log

アラームの設定

AWSコンソールのCloudWatchでディスク使用率(disk_used_percent)に対するアラームを設定します。

以上で、Ubunut 18.04でCloudWatchエージェントを使いディスク使用率を監視するための設定は完了です。
