デジタル大辞泉によると「座」にはいくつも意味がありますが、今回は下記のような意味です。
江戸時代、幕府によって設けられ、貨幣や度量衡など特定の免許品を製造した機関。「金座」「銀座」「枡ます座」「秤はかり座」
駿府秤座のご子孫は今でも静岡で秤の会社を経営されています。江戸時代の駿府が令和の静岡につながっているのです。

After Tokugawa Ieyasu established the Edo feudal government in Edo, in 1653 it designated Shuzui family in East Japan and Jin family in West Japan to make and authorize weighing scales.
徳川家康が江戸に江戸幕府を開いた後、1653年に幕府は秤を作り、お墨付きを与えるため東日本には守随家を、西日本には神家を任命しました。
The organization was called ‘Hakari-za’, which means the special administrative institution for weighing scales.
その組織は「秤座（はかりざ）」と呼ばれ、秤のための行政上の特別な機関を意味します。
However, the two families could not manage all weighing scales across Japan, so they established branches in major cities.
しかし、その二つの家だけで日本中すべての秤を管理することはできません。ですから主要な都市に出張所が作られました。
Sumpu branch was managed by Kawase family, the local weighing scale maker and keeper.
駿府の出張所は地元の秤職人であり、管理者である河瀬家により運営されました。
In 1653, Kawase Genwemon established their scale office in Shichiken-cho as the Sumpu Hakari-za.
1653年、河瀬源右衛門が七間町に駿府秤座として（現在で言う）営業所を設立しました。
Surprisingly, the company established by Kawase family is still in operation in Shizuoka City.
驚くべきことに、河瀬家により設立された会社は現在も静岡市で営業を続けています。
It is said that Kawase Scale Works is the oldest as a weighing scale company in Japan.
河瀬衡器製作所は日本で一番古い秤の会社だと言われています。
The company has its 360-year history and located in Wakamatsu-cho, Aoi Ward, Shizuoka City.
その会社は360年の歴史があり、静岡市葵区若松町にあります。
The company has been adapting to the time demands to pass on its history to the next generation.
会社の歴史を次の世代につなげるよう、時代の需要に対応し続けています。
