オートルートアンバサダーからのメッセージ　#71

We pray for a speedy recovery for all those affected by the coronavirus. I would also like to express my condolences to those who have passed away. We also send our thanks and cheers to all those who work on the front lines.

We hope that a society divided by the coronavirus will be able to reaffirm the value of each individual's existence and recognize each other again.
　
It's times like these that I thought it was necessary, and I'll be posting a message once a day from our Haute Route ambassadors.

爆発的なオレンジ色の激しい炎で後続を一気にひき離し駆け上がるタイプ。

静かな青い焔を揺らしながらじわじわとマイペースで上り続けるタイプ。

どちらにも強さが有ります。

長い上り坂ならば、前者なら工夫しながら、タイミングを見計らいながらの短期的な勝負のかけひき。

後者なら相手の影響を受けずマイペースを維持し、結果的に勝つか負けるかはこれまでの自分の実力通り。

苦しさに心を折られずに自分軸で”イマココ”感覚を味わうコツは、60％～80%の閾値でマイルドに攻めつつ、ここぞの一瞬で90％以上のレッドゾーンにスイッチONとOFFを繰り返し、自分自身の勝負欲をいかに管理下におけるかどうか。

いえ、スプリントやタイムトライアルな”短期勝負”なら後者に勝ち目はありません。

でも、長い人生ですから。オレンジ色の炎と、青い焔。

どちらが速いのか、ステルヴィオ峠で勝負してみましょうか。

賭けのご褒美は、峠の頂上の土産物屋が並ぶ屋台の一角。毎年陽気なニイちゃんが売っている、ザワークラウト大盛りソーセージバーガーとコーラのセットにしましょう。

I grew up in Hong kong, one of the most densely populated cities in the world which actually hilly.

Although we have many steep slopes most of them are quite short and nothing comparable to the majestic climbs in an Haute Route event.
