I investigated about Mario series video games.
It’s sold over 560 million games in the world. It’s certified Guinness record.
1st video game was Super Mario brothers ,it was sold in 1985. So wide age range of people loves Super Mario. Therefore I think that makes Super Mario Bros.Movie smash hit.

In Japan,the movie starts in Golden week. Golden week is Japanese consecutive holidays from end of April up to early May.
In Golden week ,many Japanese people go outside ,for travel,camping,go to movies,shopping etc.

I’d like to see movie of Dragon Quest. But in Japan, TV animation based on Dragon Quest was broadcasted in 1989. I used to see the TV animation. I suppose if the movie based on Dragon Quest come out, many people go to the theater. At least I surely go to see the movie.
