NOVELAは1980年3月にデビューアルバム「魅惑劇」を、1980年10月に2ndアルバムIN THE NIGHTを、そして1981年6月にはミニアルバム「青の肖像」と休む間もなくレコードを発売し続けていました
この頃私はNOVELAのライブを観る為に何度も鹿鳴館に通った
NOVELAは私に２つの事を教えてくれた
１つはハードロックだけではなくプログレッシブロックも素晴らしい事
もう１つは日本にもたくさん素敵なロックバンドがいる事
私の当時のオーディオ環境はウォークマンとダブルカセットデッキのだったのに、NOVELAのレコードを買っていました、何故か？
NOVELAが好き過ぎて、カセットテープだけではなく、レコードも買っていたのか？
カセットテープが売って無かったのでレコードを買っていたのか？
昔過ぎて思い出せない…過ぎ去った昔に乾杯！
NOVELA IN THE NIGHT is NOVELA’s second album, released in October 1980.It is a great album to listen to NOVELA for the first time, and if you feel that the prog color is too weak, please try the first album, “Miwakugeki”.
NOVELA released their debut album “Miwakugeki” in March 1980, their second album “IN THE NIGHT” in October 1980, and their mini album “Aonoshozo” in June 1981.
At this time I went to the Rokumeikan many times to see NOVELA live.
NOVELA taught me two things.
One is that not only Hard Rock but also Progressive Rock is great!
The other is that there are many great rock bands in Japan.
My audio environment at the time was a Walkman and a double cassette deck, but I was buying NOVELA records, why?
Did I like NOVELA so much that I bought not only cassette tapes but also records?
Was it because they didn’t sell cassette tapes, so I was buying records?
Too long ago to remember…Here’s to the bygone days!
