Midjourneyで日本の民間信仰を生成できるかどうか試してみた：その2「八幡神（僧形含む）」

前回のおさらい

道祖神をMidjourneyで生成しました。８割方道祖神っぽい石碑を作れたという感じでうまくいったと思います。

　本当はとある別の神様を出力してみた件について書こうとしたんですが、想定以上に大苦戦中です。完成したら書きますが、まだ程遠そうな状態です。
　なのでモチベを保つために、割とサクッとそれらしいものが出力できた神様「八幡神」について書いてみたいと思います。

　八幡さんというと元々武家の神様です。鎌倉殿でも源氏の氏神として鶴岡八幡宮が話題になっていましたね。戦いの神としての側面を出した像はあまり製作されておらず描かれてもいないようなのですが、試しに画像を作ってみました。鎌倉期ごろのイメージ。八幡神というか八幡太郎義家？

　せっかくなのでお使いの鳩も入れてみましょう。ちょっと鳩が南アフリカ仕様に見える気もしますが、かなり良い仕上がりです。

　鳩を白い鳩にしたいな。…なんか完全に合体しましたね。見なかったことにします。

　話を本題に戻して、八幡神像を出力してみましょう。実は神像の見分けって非常に難しいので、神像全般の出力方法の話になりそうです。
　では早速、烏帽子を被った男性を…おっと、李氏朝鮮時代の方が出力されてしまいました。

　急遽、烏帽子の解釈を帽子から冠に変更。少し神像に近づきました。

　もしかすると、天皇と表現した方がいいのか？と思い試してみたところ、清朝に飛んで行きました。Emperorって表現したのがいけないのかな。

　ええいままよ、光源氏や藤原定家で指定しました。どうやら正解に近づいたようです。

　木彫にしました。これくらいで妥協します。。どうしても武装してしまったり、衣装が複雑になってしまう傾向がありますね。御家人ぽく見えます。烏帽子の表現がこんなに難しいとは思いませんでした。

僧形八幡神

　僧形八幡神もやってみました。何せ僧形なので、プロンプトからは「戦いや弓矢の神」「鎌倉時代」と言う記載を削除します。

　僧形八幡に八幡という単語をつけるのはプロンプト上違う気がするので、八幡神の記載を除外します。（ほぼ気分）

たまに杖を持つようになりました。でも木製。

金属製の杖（錫杖を想定）を持ちましたね。

　光背をつけてみます。見かける頻度が高い僧形八幡神像であればこれで完成です。

　そして鳩を周りに飛ばします。一気にカラフルで楽しそうな画像に。

僧形八幡神　おまけ

　僧形八幡神の図像で一番有名なのはやっぱり頭に太陽を乗っけているもの。チャレンジしてみたところ、一気に絵柄がアメリカンに。

一部杖を捨ててますが、概要はあってます。

　どんどん抽象的に。３枚目は特にイメージに近いものができました。

　最後に仕上げとして、リアルにしましょう。ちょっと太陽の位置が違いますが、これ以上の調整は素人には難しいですね。

感想

　僧形八幡神は良い感じになったのではないかと思います。
　細部の再現をするためのプロンプト作成が本当に難しいです。全く想定していないものが出力されたりするのが特に。李氏朝鮮風の着物が出てきた時にはさすがに驚きました。平安時代の情報があまり学習されていないのかもしれないです。
　また要求する内容が細かくなれば細かくなるほど、何もしなければ表示される画像が抽象的になっていく傾向があるって本当なんですね。今後も詰まったら「super realistic」など写実的に出力するように要求する言葉を使ってみることにします。
