#8【ディミトリ×アッシュB】英語で支援会話｜尊い褒め合い【FE/ファイアーエムブレム風花雪月】
みなさん、こんにちは！さつきです。
さて今回はディミトリ×アッシュの支援会話Bです。
ディミトリに「普通に話してほしい」と言われたアッシュ。さてアッシュにそんなことが出来るのでしょうか？（ニヤニヤ）
ところでこちらの回、支援会話を見るタイミング（白雲の章 or 蒼月の章）によって少しセリフが変わるようです。
どちらも見ていきたいと思いますのでさっそくいってみましょう！

Ashe: Your Highness—sorry, I mean, Dimitri—would you, um, do you want to train together today?
丁寧さレベル：Would you~? ＞ Do you ~?
わざわざアッシュはDo youに言い直してますね。（かわいい）

Dimitri: Ashe! Of course, I'm glad you asked. After classes conclude for the day, meet me at the training ground. I'll be waiting. And afterward, let's plan on dinner. We'll certainly have worked up an appetite.

《白雲の章》
2文目の「After classes conclude for the day~」のAfterは接続詞で、後ろはS+Vの並びです。「今日の分の授業が終わったあと」という意味になるでしょうか。

plan on A：Aの計画を立てる
work up an appetite：おなかをすかせる
最後の文「We'll certainly have worked up an appetite.」について少し解説を入れたいと思います。
ここでは「未来完了（will have 過去分詞）」という文法が使われており、未来のある時点にはこうなっているだろうという意味を表します。
「俺たちはきっと（間違いなく）腹が減っているだろう」という意味になるようです。訓練後は腹が減る！ということでしょうね！
Ashe: Oh! Yes, I suppose— I mean, sure, it'd be— That is... It would be my pleasure to, ah—to dine? With you? I mean, I... Um...
Dimitri: Ashe...
Ashe: I'm sorry, Your Highness! I'm just no good at this! I'll do my best to improve!
Dimitri: Are you still worrying over what I said to you before?
1文目、アッシュ、テンパってて何言っているのかわからない…。笑
no good at：苦手だ
worry over A：Aを心配する
Ashe: I'm trying to do as you asked, but it's just completely against my nature.
Dimitri: Trust me, I understand the urge to show respect where it is due. However, that is not the case here. Yes, I was brought up in a different family and raised in a different way, but otherwise, you and I are the same.
against A：Aに反する
nature：本質、性質
urge（アージ）：衝動
due（ドュー）：当然の、相応の
be brought up in A：Aで育つ、育てられる
be raised in A：Aで育つ、育てられる
ディミトリのセリフ1文目を読みやすくしてみましょう。
I understand / the urge / to show respect (where it is due).
わかるよ／その衝動／（敬意を払うに値する、当然敬意を受けるべきところに）敬意を表すこと
日本語らしくすると、「敬意を払うべきところに敬意を払うことは理解する。」という感じでしょうか。
ゲーム内の日本語だと「俺もな、尊敬すべき相手に敬意を表すのは、ごく当然のことだと思う。」とのこと。わかりやすい！！！
Ashe: That all makes sense, Your Highness. But I just can't bring myself to speak to you in such a casual way. Sure. When you get right down to it, royalty like you and commonfolk like me... We're all just people. But the commonfolk still rely on the nobility to keep the peace, and to keep them safe. Commoners pay the price for that in taxes and respect. That's what Lonato says.
bring：ここではbringの後ろにmyselfがあるので、自分をある状態にもっていく、ということになると思います。
when you get right down to it：突き詰めて考えると、結局のところ

rely on A：Aに頼っている
the nobility：貴族
Commoners：平民
commonfolkもcommonersもどっちも平民という意味なのですな～。
どっちの単語にも【common】って単語が入っているのが面白い！
＊commonは一般の、普及している、という意味
確かに英語では、同じ単語を繰り返すのを嫌うということはよく言われています。
こうやって一緒に覚えたら記憶に残りやすそう！

flaw（フロー）：欠点、不備な点
Ashe: But that's not all there is to it!
Dimitri: Hm?
Ashe: I also respect you as a person. You carry the weight of the whole Kingdom on your shoulders. You're a faultless warrior, and you're always so kind to your allies. Even me.
that's all there is to it：それだけのこと
＊ここでは「that's not all there is to it」なので「それだけじゃないんです」という意味。
carry the weight of A：Aを背負う、支える、担う
faultless：非の打ちどころのない
warrior（ウォーリア）：戦士
allies（アライズ）：味方／allyの複数形＊アクセント注意！
Dimitri: On all accounts, I can say the same of you. But you also have a strong heart. I can't say that about myself. No matter the circumstance, you are never drawn toward darkness. That mindset of yours has done me well on countless occasions.
Ashe: Well, I...I do my best. So I guess...mutual respect between us is what's really the most appropriate.
On all accounts：どう考えても
circumstance（サーカムスタンス）：状況
drawn：引っ張られる／drawの過去分詞
toward：～に向かって、～のほうへ
mindset：考え方
done：（利益などを）与えてくれた、（恩恵を）施してくれた
mutual（ミューチュアル）：互いの
appropriate（アプロゥプリエイト）：適切な、ふさわしい
アッシュの最後のセリフを読みやすく区切ってみましょう。
So I guess... / mutual respect (between us) / is what's really the most appropriate.
僕は思います／（わたしたちの間にある）お互いの尊重／が最もふさわしいことかと
お互いを尊敬しあっているとこがアッシュとディミトリにとってふさわしいのではないかとアッシュは考えているわけですね～
だから今まで通り敬語使わせて！ってアッシュは言っているようです。

回りまわって始まりの場所に戻ってきた、というところですね。
この２人の関係性めっちゃよくない…？
アッシュの英語版の声って日本語版の声にすごく似てる！（と感じる）
違和感がなくてびっくりした！ディミトリは英語ボイスではかなり強そうな声になってますが…。まぁそれはそれで良い。
（個人的には石川界人くんボイスがかなり好きなんや…(*´Д｀)）
