絵画は、基本的に形にならないっていうのが大前提にあって描いているんです。
だからこその表現の場であるわけです。

理想は、絵画が外に向かってドバッと流れ出ることなんです。ある器があったとしてその器に容れる事ができるものはそこに入るわけですが、その器に合った容量でない場合には外に向かって流れ出るわけです。

エックハルトは貧しく在ること(清貧)について、以下の様に言っています。
“ 神がその人のなかで働く場所を見つける事ができる限り、悪い事ではないですが最善とは言えません。最も貧しい者とは、神がその人の中で働く場所すら見出せないこと、その人が神が働かれる場所を少しも持っていないことです。というのは、神は神自身において働かれるのが神の本望 であって、決して人の中で働く事が本望ではないからです。”

エックハルトはどうしてその様な事が言えたのでしょうか？例えば絵画をある公募展に出そうとしてそれにハマらなければ自分はまだまだだなんて思う事もあると思います。しかしその人の容量がその公募の器の大きさと合っていなかっただけかもしれません。自分の容量をその公募に無理矢理合わせるのは最善とはいえないでしょう。むしろその公募という器を横に置いた時に溢れ流れ出るものこそ、その人の表現と言えます。この時その表現はその人の意図したものではないかもしれませんが、その人は溢れ出たものを見てそれらを自分の言葉だと受け取るんです。この様に神は愛において働かれる、つまり神は神において働かれるという実感によってエックハルトは言っているのでしょう。

何処かしらいつも直感的に、絵画は形にならないという大前提がぼくの中にはあるんです。

Basically, I paint based on the premise that painting is unformed.
That is why it’s a place for expression.

Painting should flow outward. If you have a bowl and it’s not the right capacity for it, then it’s flowing outward.
Master Eckhart says the following about honorable poverty.
"As long as God can find a place to work in a person, it’s not a bad thing, but it’s not the best. The poorest man is that God doesn’t even find a place to work in the person. God's true desire is to work in God Himself, never in man.”

How was it possible to say that?
If you are not selected for an art competition, your capacity aren’t the right for the competition. Rather than matching your capacity to the bowl, it’s your expression that flows out when that bowl put aside. That may not be what you intended, but you see the outpouring and takes it as your own words. Eckhardt must’ve said from a real feeling that God works in love like this and which means that God works in God.

There’s always an intuitive premise in my mind that painting is unformed.
