12時間睡眠ののち、部屋でゆっくり。やっぱりここまで来たからにはカジノに行こう。
歩くと意外と横断歩道がなく、歩道橋が多い印象。ラスベガス初の全館禁煙ホテルとなった、MGMホテルへ。

どうやってカジノってやるんだよ・・・とても不安でYouTubeでやり方を学んだが。あんまりちゃんと分かってないけど大丈夫なのだろうか。
とりあえず、プレイヤーズカードを作れ！ということだったので、事前にMGMの会員登録をしてカウンターで受け取り。このカードで、全てのカジノゲームの履歴が残り、ポイントがつく。
ブラックジャックなどのテーブルゲームは、現金をディーラーに渡してチップに交換。スロットは直接現金を投入。賭け金はテーブルゲームは制限のないところや、20ドル以上などテーブルによって様々。スロットは1ドルから出来る。
今回はルーレットとブラックジャック、スロットに挑戦。ルーレットのディーラーのおばちゃんは20年のベテラン。玉の投入の仕方が手慣れてる・・・。色々速くてどんなふうになってるのか、あんまりよく分からないままだったが。
ブラックジャックは年齢確認までされ笑　ルーレットの時にもいたマネージャーさんが「彼女はプレイヤーズカードももってるし、大丈夫だよ」と言ってくれました。
他のお客さんと一緒にプレイ。一回のターンでブラックジャックを2回見たから意外と出るんだな。ブラックジャックが来ると多めにチップをもらえる。やっぱり勝ったときに沢山チップをもらえるとドキドキしてきますね。
スロットは普通のゲームな感じで、ヒットすると音が大きくなるので、おーってなります。
大人のゲームセンターだなぁと感じました。

最後に、ラスベガスで一番人気のショー・シルクドゥソレイユの「O」を見ました。
天井からパフォーマーが降りてきたり、通路から出たり入ったりと観客と一体になれるステージ。不思議の国のアリスとサーカスのような世界観。
とくに驚いたのは、ステージ全体が本物の水。飛び込みできる深さの箇所も。場面によって水をなくしてただのステージにしたり。一方で炎を使う場面もあり、帽子や洋服などが燃え続けながら新聞読んでたり笑
あとはやっぱり、ピエロがいいなぁ。若干の猫背気味なところなど。（一番最初にもアイスブレイク的な感じで、水をかけたりしながら客席を巡っていました。）
飛び込んだり激しいパフォーマンスでもすぐそこの観客席に水がかかりそうで、かからないような緻密な動き。常時20人ぐらいのパフォーマーがそれぞれの場所で、凄まじい身体能力を繰り広げてたり、お花をプレゼントする劇がはじまってたりと、目がいくつあればいいんですかという感じ。なので、やっぱりすごいけど疲れてくる。
そんな時にピエロ2人組が登場。おどけてて、滑稽で、おっちょこちょいで。でも普段の私たちが共感できる動き。お客さんをステージにあげてダンスしたりという場面も。
常人離れしたシルクの人たちの動きから、一般の人たちの動きの世界に少し戻してホッとさせている気がしました。
構成や世界観の作り方がさすがで、見れてよかったなと心の底から感じました。

翌日はロサンゼルスへ移動。サウスウエスト航空は自由席なので新鮮。風圧を感じるほど飛行機の離着陸がすぐそばのLyftなどの乗り場。タクシーやバスも含め20以上の乗り場規模のロサンゼルス国際空港です。
