アニメージュ版もえたん

１０年前に「アニメージュ」のオマケ用に作った和英文集。企画は、今や「聖地巡礼の人」として有名な柿崎さん。ちなみに、本当にこの英文で正しいかは、まったく保証いたしません（笑）。

（当時、『もえたん』という本がすごく売れたので、その便乗企画というか、なんかそんな感じの冗談企画だったように覚えてます）

A beautiful girl wearing KIMONO, one of the endangered species, seems to live at the border between Tokyo and Saitama.

・美少女は空から降ったり、道ばたに落ちていることが多い。＜「ちょびっツ」など＞
Beautiful girls often fall from the sky or lie on the ground.

・彼女たちの目的は彼ではなく、彼のもっている優秀な魔法使いの遺伝子のみ。＜まぶらほ＞
Those girls don't want himself, but want only his gene of the superior wizard.

Over billion people were dead by the flood caused by a genial scientist.

In that school, students duel each other to gain the power that can revolute the world.

I shot down the mobile suit which pilot had insulted me about my name.

The artificial satellite seems to be just like a girl.

He inherited grandmother's women's dorm and became a caretaker.

（regulate）大改造を施した小型車に乗った婦警のコンビになら、むしろ取り締まられたい。＜逮捕しちゃうぞ＞
I would be regulated by the pair of policewomen riding a restructured small police car.

（lazy）埋め立て地に作られた分署では、仕事もないので、のんびりとした日々を過ごしていた。＜パトレイバー＞
In the precinct on the empoldered land, policemen have no job to do and have been spent lazy and idle days.

（complete）任務が完了したので、パイロットは自爆ボタンを押した。＜ガンダムＷ＞
The pilot push the self-destruction-switch, because he had finished his complete mission.

＜クラシカル＞24篇

（actually）凄腕のハッカーだと思われていたが、実はネットワーク内で発生した生命体だった。
Although people think he is a talented hacker, he acyually is not a human but a creature organaized in the computer network.

・ヒロインの家にいくと、たいていお風呂に入っている最中だ。
Usually, the heroine is taking a bath, when someone comes to her home.

・学級委員はメガネを取ると、かわいい。
The class officer with the unaided eyes looks prettier than bespectakled.

・スーパーロボットとは、それ一機で戦況を一変させる性能を持っていなければならない。
A super-robot must be able to gain the upper hand on enemies in the battle field all alone.

・プロトタイプの方が強いという信仰がロボットアニメにはつきまとう。
Animation shows about giant robots made a misbelief that a prototype is superior to a mass-produce type.

・納豆のような軌跡を描くミサイルを描いたアニメーターは梅宮辰夫と同じ誕生日。<<板野一郎>>
The animator, who draws missiles with twisty trajectory just like Natto, was born same day as Tatsuo Umemiya.

・魚をくわえた猫をおいかけるときは、靴を忘れないようにしよう。<<サザエさん>>
Remember to put on shoes before chasing the cat stealing a fish.

・おじいさんと彼の双子の兄弟は、髪の毛の本数で見分けます。（サザエさん）
We can discern the grandfather from his twin brother by in number of their hair.

The police officer in that police box is the heaviest nerd in town.

・父はかわいらしいハムスターたちが、いたちと戦うと思っている。＜ハム太郎＞
My father believes little and cute hamsters fight against big weasels.

（degree）ネズミに耳をかじられたショックが凄まじく、彼は真っ青になってしまった。
He cyanosed by a terrific shock and turned color into blue, when a rat bit off his ears.

（yell）崇高な精神の持ち主である彼は、助けを求める人々に自分の頭部を分けて与えた。
He is so noble that he gives his head as food to the people yelling for help.

（excuse）いい加減な言い訳をしたので、同居人に電撃を喰らわされた。
I excused dishonestly, so that my inmate blasted me lightning strikes.

（point）石から発せられる光は、まっすぐ東の空を指していた。
The stone rays the beam straight toward the east sky.

（license）無免許ながらもとびきり腕のいい医者だが、治療代は高くつく。
Although he has no license and demand so much money, he is an excellent doctor.

（quest）その少年は、母を探して12000キロの旅に出た。
The boy started out the journey over 12000 Km in quest of his mother.

（threaten）毒性の高い森が世界を覆い尽くし、人類は絶滅の危機に瀕していた。
The hard poisonous forest has spreaded out all over the world, so that humankind is endangered.

（push）全身黒ずくめの男が、心の隙間を埋める商品を押し売りしている。
There is a man in black selling doubtful goods filled a void in his customer's heart.

（visible）訓練の結果、消える魔球の軌跡が見えるようになった。
He exercised very hard to be able to see the invisible ball.

（enforce）彼は、特殊な投法を習得するため、訓練器具を身に付けたままの生活を強要
された。
He was forced to put on the training machine all day long to learn the special pitching action.

（eventually）結局、彼は機械の体になることを拒んだ。
After all, he refused to turn into a machine body.

（vast）その海賊は、親友の魂が宿る戦艦で、広大な宇宙を駆けた。
The pirate voyaged around the vast space by the battleship possessed the soul of his best friend.

【アニメファン】36篇 (-3)

・飛びぬけてるわけじゃないけど、作画も演出も良い作品は「クオリティが高い」と言っておこう。
We should give credit, good quality, to the work which is not so good but has above-average direction and artwork.

・ その曲は僕がリクエストしたものですから、あなたが歌わないで下さい。
Do not sing a song, because I requested it to sing myself.

・年上のアニメファンに、 「それ、ちっちゃい頃よく見てました」と言ってはいけない
。
Do not say that, I used to watch the show when I was a child, to elder fans of animation.

・あなたと私ではカップリングが違います。
You and me belong different categories.

・「同盟」と言えば、真っ先にファンサイトが浮かびます。
I connect primarily the word, league, with Websites of fans.

・美形キャラがただ出てくればいいというものではない。だからといって、美形キャラでないのは論外だ。
Good-looking characters are not enough for the good show. However, no good-looking character is out of the question.

・この原稿は、バイク便が来る前に描きあがるでしょうか？
I wonder I can finish to draw this comic before a motorcycle-courier will come.

・イラストカレンダーが捨てられず、昨年のものを使ってます。
I can not put off the last year's illustrated calendar and I am still using it.

・あなたは、メガネをかけた彼と外した彼、どちらが好きですか？
Which face of him do you prefer whether  bespectacled or naked?

・DVDをたくさん買っている人にかぎって、押入れにはLDとビデオテープが眠っている。
A hot and heavy collector of DVDs is certainly has a large collection of LDs and videotapes in his/her closet, too.

・名場面を録画しているときにかぎって、ニュース速報が入る。
Whenever I record a great scene on TV, the news flash is inserted.

・再放送をチェックしつづけ、全話を録画できた頃に、ボックスセットが発売される。
Whenever I almost finish to record all of the episodes checking the rerun, the boxed set of the show is released.

・お風呂に入っていないときにかぎって、握手会。
Whenever I don't take a bath, there is a shakehand party of voice actresses.

・物語の視点が散漫な時は、目立つ脇役に注目して見るといい。
Watching the story of which point of view is loose, you should focus on a remarkable sub-character.

・不幸なキャラクターほど萌えるのは、人としていかがなものか。
The more miserable a character is, the more adorable I feel her.  It is quite low-mindedness, isn't it?

Practically, there is little possibility that your hometown friend from childfood is a beautiful girl.

Lately, there is little anime fan who can read the continuity.

It is quite difficult to explain the concept 'MOE.'

It is quite difficult to check out every shows went on the air through different waves: CS, BS, WOWOW, UHF and so on.

If you off your guard, you must miss to record the show from a broadcast onto videotape.

・趣味が一緒だと、断絶したときに亀裂が深い。
The more like-minded friends are, the fiercer they oppose against each other.

・最初の作品だけしか認めない人がいる。
There are so many people who appreciate only the first series of the show.

・あれは子供の見る物だよ、と言ってる人間に限って、最終回で泣くものだ。
In general, the person who says it's the show for children will weep watching the last episode of it.

（compare）どちらを録画しておくかを決めるため、同じ時間帯に放映される作品は比較
されやすい。
Fans tend to compare shows broadcasted on the same time slot, because they must choose the show to be recorded.

（sensitive）原作ものの声優のキャスティングには敏感にならざるを得ない。
Staff must be careful to cast actors to the show based on the novel/comic, because its fans are very sensitive about casting.

（awful）ここはひどいインターネットですね。皆さんはひとの痛みがわからないのでし
ょうか。
Articles on this site are terrible.  Don't you feel pain of others?

（desert）秋葉原には、砂漠の中のオアシスのごとく、特殊な喫茶店が点在している。
In AKIHABARA, there are some isolated cafes just like oasises on a desert.

（industry）アニメやゲームは、いまや日本の主要な輸出産業だ。
Now, animations and computer games became main exportations of Japan.

（incident）史上最大規模のテロの影響で、いくつかのアニメ作品がお蔵入りするという事件が起きた。

A continuity is a design for an animation.

・稀に最終回が仕切り直されて、映画化されることがある。
In rare cases, the last episode of the TV show will be cinematized.

・もうすぐ、すぐに上がります、という返事はこれから始めるという宣言である。
The answer, I will finish soon, means a declaration to start working.

・おはようございます、は１日中使われる挨拶の言葉です。
We use the phrase 'Good Morning' irrespective of time.

＜miss＞彼が同人誌を売っていた頃がなつかしいよ。
I miss the days that he sold his fanzines.

＜conference＞打ち合わせは安心するためだけにやるものではない。
The purpose of conference is not only for staffs' relief.

・アニメーターは、原理上、描けば描くほど無限に儲かるすごい仕事だ。
Theoretically, animator is great business.  Because, the more an animator draw, the more he/she get money infinitely.

Red in the color meaning three times faster.

Only an officer above the rank of the squadron leader put a horn on one's machine.

A meal cooked by the heroine always tastes either delicious like ambrosia or distasteful like toxic poison.

Eyeglasses are the part of the human body.

＜コスプレ＞

Ｑ　今日、発表された新曲なのに、なぜみんな振り付けを知っているのですか。
Ａ　作曲家を知っていればリズムが予想できるんです。
