Borane Reduction

To a solution of 2-((2-methoxyethyl){[trans-(1S,2S)-2-methylcyclopropyl]methyl}amino)-6-[methyl(methylsulfonyl)amino]isonicotinic acid (202 mg, 0.544 mmol) in THF (3 ml) at 0 °C was added 1M borane-THF complex in THF (1.63 ml, 1.63 mmol). The reaction was warmed to rt and allowed to stir for 18 h. The reaction was quenched with MeOH and concentrated in vacuo to yield N-[4-(hydroxymethyl)-6-((2-methoxyethyl){[trans-(1S,2S)-2-methylcyclopropyl]methyl}amino)pyridin-2-yl]-N-methylmethanesulfonamide (100%).
