Mitsunobu Reaction / Tsunoda Reagent

To a solution of 2-(1,3-dioxan-2-yl)ethylsulfonamide (295.3 mg, 1.5 mmol) and 2-octen-1-ol (155 μL, 1.0 mmol) in dry toluene (5 mL) was added CMBP (0.4 mL, 1.5 mmol) at rt under an argon atmosphere. The resulting mixture was stirred for 24 h at rt and concentrated in vacuo. The residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (eluent: hexane/AcOEt, 5/1 - 2/1, v/v). N-(1-Methylheptanyl)-N-phenyl-2-(1,3-dioxan-2-yl)ethylsulfonamide, yield 91%. Colorless oil.
