Did The Pandemic Affect My College Life?- Hell Yesss

Hi guys! I'm excited to be writing the article in English for the first time in note. Since this is my first English article of note, I thought writing about the university that I currently go to would be great. This article is more about how I feel about the coming semester and what I have gone through during the pandemic. I'm gonna be writing about my school in detail in the next article, like curriculum, buildings on campus and club activities and stuff. There's not much information about my school, so I hope that you guys would get a good grasp of what it's like to be a student of my uni and what kind of environment they offer on campus!

About My school and Me

So the university I currently go to is called International Christian University, or ICU. I'm becoming a senior in a few days and I'm a Business major. It's quite surprising that I'm already getting to be fourth-year student because when I first got into ICU, I thought four years is kind of long and being a senior is something that was far away from me at that time. But here I'm a senior now! Time flies.

My Uni Life During The Covid Pandemic

Well, my uni life during the first two years was quite unusual and it wasn't like what people in the past have experienced at all. I enrolled in ICU in 2020, which is when the covid pandemic just hit the earth. So we had to take all the classes online using zoom in the very first semester of first year. This was quite shocking and sad to me because I was excited for the new people I was supposed to meet on campus face to face, and the way school started was way different from what I expected. Besides the entire world was not prepared for the pandemic, and of course neither was my school. I personally didn't use a laptop that much when I was in junior high and high school, so having to get all the things done online with laptop was new to me, and it took me two to three weeks to get used to it (Now I'm pretty much comfortable using computer though).
When I was in first year, I took almost all the classes online. They are either real-time zoom class or on-demand recorded class. ICU moved on to the next year keeping that class module. But when I turned into a junior, the school decided to hold half of the classes face to face and keep half of them online, gradually getting back to the style before the pandemic. And they are finally offering all the classes in person this semester! We still had the plastic transparent partitions on the desks in cafeteria, which was annoying to be honest. Every time I had lunch with my friend/s, I put away the partition and placed it against the table, so that we didn't have our voices blocked by it. But they are finally removing them! No need of wearing a mask and setting the partitions anymore.

Always (Try to) Look On The Bright Side

Anyways, I'm happy that we're finally taking all the classes in person like most college students did before the pandemic. I'm excited to meet more new people and struggle with lots of assignments and homework like I always do every semester lol
