GGKR Sessions #1 from 'Drums, Guitars, & Ghosts'

One day in February 2021. These fantastic musicians joined me at the studio GO-GO KING RECORDERS. Drummer Hiroshi “Matsukichi” Matsubara would have performed these three songs, but because of a schedule conflict, his student/drummer Risa “bon” Kokubo agreed to substitute for him. Everyone played these songs for the first time, without rehearsal, on camera. Starting with a mood of nervous tension, this gradually unfolded into spontaneity. As vocalist Lyn Inaizumi’s voice soared to the sky, the performance heightened to a climax of another dimension. Everyone was amazing.
These sessions crystallized into my album, “Drums, Guitars, & Ghosts.”

2021年2月某日。スタジオGO-GO KING RECORDERSに最高のミュージシャンたちが集まってくれた。
本来この３曲はドラマー松原”マツキチ”寛が務めるところだが予定が合わず、代わりに彼の弟子でもあるドラマー小久保”bon”里沙が代役を引き受けてくれた。
全員が初めて演奏する楽曲。リハーサルなしのぶっつけ本番。緊張感漂うオープニングから、徐々に自由なパフォーマンスへ。最後はボーカル稲泉りんのシャウトで異次元空間にワープ。みんな本当に素晴らしい演奏をしてくれた。
この日のセッションがアルバム「Drums, Guitars, & Ghosts」に結実する。これはその記録映像第一弾。ありがとう。
