「あなた自身がしていないことを他の人々にするように教えるのはやめなさい。宗教改革は単なる教義ではありません。まことの宗教改革は、救い主と一つに結び合わされることから始まります。あなたがキリストとくびきを共にするなら、そして主の与えられる重荷を自分で背負うなら、主があなたと共にいてその重荷を背負ってくださるでしょう。あなたが主の働きを全うすることができるのは、ただ主のためにそれをするのではなく、主と共にそれをする時のみです。御霊ご自身でなければ、御霊に関する事柄を生み出すことはできません。もしあなたが主とくびきを共にしているなら、政治や歴史に関する事柄にかかわりはありません。政治的な圧力のために、あるいは政治的な好機によってあなたが何かをするとすれば、それはあなたの真の働きの終わりだと知るべきです。歴史を変えようと最善を尽くしてもせいぜい歴史の一コマに過ぎず、永遠への歩みにおいては少しも影響を与えることはありません。あなたが他の人々に説くことを自分の生き様で示さないなら、私たちと同様に、神の崇高な召しに対してあなたも不適格とされるのです」

「崇高な召しは、主が召された者すべてに与えられるものではありません」彼は続けました。
「あなたがいのちの道に歩み続けるための秘訣を教えましょう。救い主のみを愛し、その栄光をただひたすら求めることです。あなたの名を上げるためにしたことは、いつか必ずあなたに最悪の恥辱をもたらすでしょう。しかし、救い主への偽りのない愛と、その聖なる御名の栄光のみを願ってしたことは、主の永遠の御国の境界をさらに広げ、究極的にはあなたのためにより高位の座が備えられるのです。ここで記録される事柄にのみ目をとめて生きなさい。地に属する事柄に思いを向けてはなりません」

【TRUE REFORMATION】

"Do not try to teach others to do what you, yourself, are not doing. Reformation is not just a doctrine. True reformation only comes from union with the Savior. When you are yoked with Christ, carrying the burdens that He gives you, He will be with you and carry them for you. You can only do His work when you are doing it with Him, not just for Him. Only the Spirit can beget that which is Spirit. If you are yoked with Him you will do nothing for the sake of politics or history. Anything that you do because of political pressures,or opportunities, will only lead you to the end of your true ministry. The things that are done in an effort to make history will at best confine your accomplishments to history, and you will fail to impact eternity. If you do not live what you preach to others you disqualify yourself from the high calling of God, just as we did."

"The high calling is not out of reach for anyone that the Lord has called. I will tell you what will keep you on the path of life - love the Savior and seek His glory alone. Everything that you do to exalt yourself will one day bring you the most terrible humiliation. Everything that you do out of true love for the Savior, to glorify His name, will extend the limits of His eternal kingdom, and ultimately will result in a much higher place for yourself. Live for what is recorded here. Care nothing for what is recorded on earth."
