■Ken’s example essay
The debate on stopping animal experiments for product testing has been going on for years without any expectations of this to be banned throughout the world. As much as animal cruelty should be banned, there are realistic reasons that make this very hard. Here are a few reasons why companies cannot and will not stop testing products on animals.
The first reason is for the safety of human beings. Any new chemical products always holds the potential of damaging the human body. Companies have the responsibility to make sure the products are safe before spreading it to the public. In order to do this they cannot risk human lives to do risky experiments so the best option becomes animals for testing.
Another reason is the immediate need to produce new products such as medicine. When there is a new disease that spreads throughout the population a cure is needed. In the process of the fastest way to produce a new product animal testing is a part of the equation that makes the process much faster. When there is a urgent need for products in order to save human lives people make the decision to sacrifice the lives of other animals.
In conclusion animal experiments play a vital part in saving and benefitting the lives of human beings. Hopefully with the passing of time and evolution humans can think of other ways to resolve needs and wants in the world.(239 words. 20mins)
