主な国の近年のTFR（Total Fertility Rate）は人口置換水準の2強を下回っている。中国系と韓国の低さが際立っている。下のグラフには無いがタイも約1.5と低い。

出生不足を移民で補えば、別の意味での「消滅」が避けられない。
