PILOT AUTOMATIC

Today, I will write about the PILOT automatic.
I was wondering which one to write with STAEDTLER's micromatic, but it became a hot topic, so I chose this one.

The whole picture looks like this, and I have a pretty firm impression. What attracts me is the etching process that PILOT is good at. Holder H-◯◯, Switch, Laurite, Myu, is also famous for this too. In japan, people who can do this work is decreasing now. But in the past, there were many stationaries that have been produced from PILOT using the skills, so the demand may have been high then.

What I thought the best to see the real thing is the material of the body. It is almost made of metal, and only the part where plastic is used is likely to be damaged by attaching and detaching the clip. If the upper body is plastic, it may break from the joint, but if it is both metals, such a thing will not happen, so this made me happy.

Compared to holder◯◯series

Compared to the company's etched pen, holder series (upper H-2005, lower H-3003) mentioned earlier as an example, I feel somehow the design of the grip is closer to 2005.
The 300x, which is a plastic body, may be differentiated by grip processing even at the same price.

Compared to PILOT Automac (2011 version old model)

Compared to Automatic, which can be said to be an orthodox successor with a double knock and automatic lead dispense mechanism, it has changed great , because there are blanks from 1983 to 2011.
The disappearance of the etching process, which was one of the advantages of Automatic, had a big change, but it has changed greatly, such as non-4mm pipe, change of grip attaching and detaching, change of inner mechanism, reduction of parts that can be took off, etc. The popularity of this has slowed, and it has become obsolete just recently.

I think you can see who has it, but in fact, my Automatic is a non-genuine clip.　　　　　　It was not included when I got it, and it is quite difficult to get additional, so it has not been changed to a regular one yet. I want to change it someday.
