GLORIOUS WORD DEVOTIONAL Day128 HIS GOODNESS MUST LEAD YOU TO REPENTANCE 神の善はあなたを悔い改めに導くにちがいない

(Romans 2:4) Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?  それとも、神の慈愛があなたを悔改めに導くことも知らないで、その慈愛と忍耐と寛容との富を軽んじるのか。

There are some Christians who only focus on the judgement of God and others who also focus on the goodness of God only. 

神の裁きだけに焦点を当てているクリスチャンもいれば、神の善のみに焦点を合わせているクリスチャンもいます。

Those on the side of the former live in fear, whilst those in the latter group take God for granted.

前者の側の人々は恐れを抱いて生きていますが、後者のグループの人々は神を当然のことと思っています

 It ought not to be so. There should be balance. 

そうであってはなりません。 バランスが必要です。

It was for this reason that Paul asked the question we see in our theme scripture for today. 

パウロが今日のテーマ聖書にある質問をしたのはこのためです。

God shows you his goodness so that you may change. Halleluyah! 

神はあなたが変わることができるようにあなたに彼の善良さを示します。 ハレルヤ！

If you confess your sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive you (1 John 1:9). 

あなたが自分の罪を彼に告白するなら、彼は忠実であり、あなたをただ許すだけです（第１ヨハネの手紙1：9）

However, he expects you to grow and leave those mistakes behind for his goodness must lead you to repentance. Halleluyah!

しかし、彼はあなたが成長し、彼の善良さがあなたを悔い改めに導くに違いないので、それらの間違いを手放すことを期待しています。 ハレルヤ！

Meditation: (Romans 2:4) Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?
Activity: Spend time in prayer today. As you pray vow in your heart never to take God for granted.
Confession: I have vowed in my heart never to take his goodness and kindness towards me for granted. The God who forgives is the God who will judge. I allow his goodness to lead me unto repentance. Halleluyah!
