What's wrong with speaking Korean? 한국어로 말하는데 뭐가 문제야?

Recently, when I was talking in Korean with the owner of a Korean restaurant, someone who seemed to be a regular customer said to me, “You don't have to speak Korean. The owner can speak Japanese.'' I was forced to do karaoke, so when I was singing "Arirang" in Korean with the owner, a few of the regulars got up and left.
.. In the end, the owner took the opposite approach and, perhaps starting to feel disrespected by me, said something to me (the customer) in “Korean'' that should not be said.
Would the same thing happen at a German or French restaurant?

What's wrong with Japanese people speaking Korean? What's wrong with Korean residents in Japan speaking Korean?
Would you tell a German resident in Japan who can speak Japanese not to speak German?
Would you say to a Japanese person who speaks German, "Don't speak German"?
That thing taught me that Japan is still far removed from the age of internationalization as of old.

최근 한식당 주인과 한국어로 대화를 나누고 있는데 단골손님처럼 보이는 분이 나에게 “한국말을 할 필요는 없어요. 주인분이 일본어를 할 수 있어요.'' 억지로 노래방을 하게 되어 주인분과 한국어로 '아리랑'을 부르고 있는데 단골 몇 명이 일어나서 나가더군요.
.. 결국 주인은 정반대의 접근 방식을 취했고 아마도 나에게 무례한 느낌이 들기 시작하면서 나(고객)에게 해서는 안되는 "한국어"라는 말을 했습니다.
독일이나 프랑스 레스토랑에서도 똑같은 일이 일어날까요?

일본 사람들이 한국어로 말하는 게 뭐가 문제인가요? 재일교포들이 한국말을 하는데 무슨 문제가 있나요?
일본어를 할 수 있는 일본에 거주하는 독일인에게 독일어를 하지 말라고 말하시겠습니까?
독일어를 하는 일본인에게 "독일어를 하지 마세요"라고 말하시겠습니까?
그것은 나에게 일본이 옛날처럼 국제화 시대에서 아직 멀었다는 것을 가르쳐 주었습니다.
