アメリカのアングラヒップホップを代表するanticonの代表作と言っていいだろう、deep puddle dynamicsの「The Taste of Rain... Why Kneel」。アルバムのタイトルは「西洋の俳句」。
Sole, Doseone, Alias, Slug.が参加している、当時のアングラ界のオールスター達だ。
私個人はオールドスクール系も聴いていたが、それほど深くまでハマることはなかった。テクノに関しても同様だ。面白みを感じなかった。だが、アングラヒップホップはハマりにハマった。オーバーグラウンドではエミネムがくだらんこと行っている間、地下ではとんでもないことが起きている、っていう実感があった。アングラ界最強の作品だが、アングラ故に最高になれなかったアルバム。つまり至高のアルバムである。
