Yesterdays New Quintet、JaylibとしてChampion Sound、MadvillainとしてStones Throwから数多くの神盤をリリースしてきたMadlibが Blue Note RecordsからJAZZのリミックスアルバムをリリース。
2000年当初のJAZZY HIPHOPの先駆けと言っていいJaylibが新たにBlue Note Recordsのアーカイブを21世紀仕様に蘇らせている。COOLでMODERN、なのにCLASSIC。どの曲も素晴らしいのですが、私が好きなJAZZのスタンダードである「Song for My Father」を。
ただこのアルバムは無意識に聞き流してこそ、なんともいえぬグルーヴが多幸福をもたらしてくれるので、意識しないで聴く方がいい。
