Feelings about school

Today we talked how we felt the first day of school and how we feel now. Take a piece of paper and fold it in half. On one side draw how you felt the first day of school and on the other side draw how you feel now about school. Be sure to label your picture and include dictation. Upload on google classroom and share with us!

Addition problems

Materials: small objects like cotton balls or pom poms

Addition stories: Provide small containers and small manipulatives such as pompoms or cotton balls. Have your child create addition stories. Talk with your child about how adding items together changes the quantity. Highlight the use of the word “more” throughout the activity. Also consider adding paper and writing utensils and encouraging your child to write the numbers or number sentences they create.
