彼女の前にイッコと名乗る女性が立ち止まって歌をリクエストし、キリエが歌い終えると拍手とともに多額の投げ銭をする。外見や雰囲気がまるで別人に思えたため、最初は気付かなかったが、キリエが彼女の家に泊めてもらった翌朝、化粧を落としたイッコの顔には見覚えがあった。さらに、彼女がキリエの本名である路花（るか）と呼びかけたことで、キリエが通っていた帯広の高校の先輩で友人の広澤真緒里だと確信した。

Kyrie は、「主」を意味するギリシャ語 κύριος (kyrios - lord) の呼声 κύριε のラテン語形です。また、「キリエ」（または「キリエ・エレイソン」）はキリスト教の礼拝における重要な祈りの一つです。日本のカトリック教会では、典礼が日本語に翻訳された第二バチカン公会議以来、この歌は「いつくしみの賛歌」と呼ばれています。日本正教会では「主よ、憐れんでください」と訳されます。
