近年では、海外を中心としたジャパニーズ・シティポップのブームにより再評価され、2021年7月に全楽曲サブスク解禁された菊池桃子およびRaMuの音源は、総再生数3000万再生を突破している。

そしてリリースされる菊池桃子デビュー40周年記念作品「Eternal Harmony」は、キャリア初となるEP作品であり、菊池桃子本人による完全セルフプロデュース作だ。デビュー40周年の感謝を込めて“愛を贈る”をテーマに行われた楽曲制作は、andropの内澤崇仁、ストレイテナーのホリエアツシがコラボ参加した楽曲に加え、菊池本人が作詞作曲したオリジナル楽曲「Starry Sky」の編曲を林哲司が務めた。

The song was created with the theme of "giving love" to express gratitude for the 40th anniversary of his debut.In addition to collaborations with androp's Takahito Uchisawa and Straightener's Horie Atsushi, Kikuchi himself wrote and composed the original song "Starry Sky". ” was arranged by Tetsuji Hayashi.
