TVアニメ「呪術廻戦」の第2期「懐玉・玉折」編オープニングテーマとなった「青のすみか」が数々のストリーミングチャートで1位を獲得、国内外に人気の輪を広げ、昨年末のNHK紅白歌合戦に初出場するなど、2023年を代表する、、
翌2024年1月にはアルバム『ROUNDABOUT』をリリースし、東名阪でのツアーも成功させた彼が、5月14日に初の日本武道館公演を開催する。

この5月14日は、10年前の2014年にキタニがボカロP“こんにちは谷田さん”名義で楽曲「鯨と水星」を動画サイトに投稿した日であり、後に同名義で制作したアルバム『彼は天井から見ている』が今回の公演タイトルになっている。その意味で、日本武道館公演はキタニタツヤの原点と現在が同居する特別な感情が込められたライブとなるはずだ。この一夜限りで行なわれるアニバーサリーライブを、WOWOWで独占放送・配信する。
