Many patients suffer from trigeminal neuralgia and hemifacial spasm which symptoms are often severe and very stressful. We’ve decided to intensify our efforts to reinforce our medical care systems against trigeminal neuralgia and hemifacial spasm with our mission to provide compassionate and personalized optimal treatment for the patients who suffer from trigeminal neuralgia and hemifacial spasm.

Patients from overseas also seek the treatments especially for MVD-microvascular decompression which is effective for trigeminal neuralgia and hemifacial spasm. Considering the situation, we’ve decided to invite Dr. Takuro Inoue the chief director of Neurosurgery at Koto Memorial Hospital who specializes in trigeminal neuralgia and hemifacial spasm and whose techniques are internationally renowned. We are passionate to strengthen our medical team with Dr. Takuro Inoue to provide best and optimal treatment for more patients who are suffering with trigeminal neuralgia and hemifacial spasm.

We also experienced several neurosurgery cases throughout our career with our policy that “we only provide the treatment which you want to recommend to your family or even yourself.” As experienced doctors based on that policy, we consider Dr. Takuro Inoue’s over 30 years experience, outstanding techniques and treatment are completely reliable and trustworthy to recommend for our patients. We are confident that we're able to provide superior medical treatment by  joining hands with Dr. Takuro Inoue with our integrated techniques and advanced technology here in Nadogaya Hospital.

MVD surgery with sufficient craniotomy resulted in good operative outcomes for most of the time and therefore several medical institutions implement MVD. It’s important to compete and offer the treatment with other medical institutions or even try to exceed them as one of the medical institutions around Tokyo and surrounding area. We believe that the dynamism raise our medical team even more and patients may have more choices to make decisions and it will expand the possibilities to meet the satisfaction of the surgery for patients. We are determined to make our hospital a more secure and trustworthy place to get treated with our refined treatment plans and minimally invasive surgery.

MVD - Microvascular Decompression of Nadogaya Hospital

Accurate Diagnosis

Most of the neurological diseases diagnosed by CT and MRI only.
However, we regard that it's most important to observe the progress of symptoms carefully and to have assessment with the neurological perspective as well as CT and MRI. We provide more accurate diagnosis with MR and CT imaging with 3D reconstruction. It’s possible to find out whether there is contact between nerves and adjacent vessels or not with the common MRI examination which most other medical institutions adopt. However, in Nadogaya Hospital, we have MR and CT imaging with 3D reconstruction to comprehend the relations between nerves and vessels in detail which we’ll be seeing in the actual surgery. We get the accurate assessment by the 3D images and elaborate the operation plans to achieve a more secure and successful operation.

The Operation With Confidence

The keyhole surgery is performed with a small incision of only 2 cm craniotomy in diameter with accurate movement as we have preoperative assessment and comprehend the positional relations with MR and CT imaging with 3D reconstruction.

Minimally Invasive Treatment

We can reduce the operative duration by unnecessarily touching nerves and the brain with our refined operation plan. Also the surgery was performed with minimal incision of skin and muscles which helps patients’ quick recovery and enables patients to discharge for about 2-3 days the earliest.

High Rate for Radical Cure

We have nearly 100% complete cure rate in typical trigeminal neuralgia and hemifacial spasm by having the accurate surgery based on the solid preoperative diagnosis. It’s likely to improve the symptoms and be cured soon after the surgery for trigeminal neuralgia. For hemifacial spasm, its symptoms may disappear once after the surgery. However, it may take about a few months to 1 year for the complete cure.

Trigeminal Neuralgia and Hemifacial Spasm Are Possible to Be Cured Completely

We pursue to refine our surgical techniques to achieve a high rate of successful operations and to avoid the risk of complications for more than 30 years. Always preparing thoroughly for the surgery to reduce patients’ anxiety as much as we can. MVD-microvascular decompression needs highly professional techniques with special tools. Also, it’s not easy to acquire the skills We've been pushing ourselves to polish up our surgical techniques from day to day. Consequently, we achieve to be able to provide quality surgery with our top-class technology.

I have performed more than 1000 cases of trigeminal neuralgia and hemifacial spasm to date based in Koto Memorial Hospital, which techniques are taken up in research papers around the world.

I am proud to have opportunities providing the treatments in Nadogaya Hospital in Chiba prefecture which is more accessible for patients around Tokyo and the surrounding area and also from overseas. We are here to eliminate your pain and to provide qualified treatments and the surgery for the spasm.
