英文速読の技法-4 単文を接続詞、疑問詞で繋いだ文

　英文読み下し訳の技法4、単文を接続詞、疑問詞でつないだ複文。

　名詞節や副詞説を導く従属接続詞には名詞節を導く、that, if, whether, 副詞説を導くwhen, while, before, till, as, if, though などがあります。
　
　接続詞、疑問詞の前にスラッシュを入れます。

　I know /that Mark is from Boston.
　「私は知っている、マークがボストン出身であることを。」

　The fact is/ that I don’t know anything/ about the matter.
　　　　　　「事実は、私が何も知らないという事だ、その件について。」

　I’m sure/ (that) he’ll be here/ in an hour.
　　　　　　　　　　　「きっと、彼はここに来るだろう、一時間後に。」

　He asked me/ whether or not I would go/ to the movies.
　　　　　　　　　　「彼は私に尋ねた、私が行くかどうかを、映画に。」
　
My mother always sings/ when she works/ in the kitchen.
　　　　　　　　「母はいつも歌を歌う、作業をするとき、キッチンで。」
　
She spoke clearly/ so that we could understand her.
　　　　　　　　「彼女はハッキリ話した、私たちが理解できるように。」

　I don’t know/ where he is from.
