Revitalizing Myself at Hotel Suiden Terrace

I was just exhausted.
I had done my best on a work project, even giving up some weekends. So, when I got relentless feedback from clients, I was so disappointed in myself. After refurbishing my work many times, I felt burnt out. Looking back, I couldn’t even do any house chores.
I wanted to go somewhere to revive myself, but sightseeing is tiring and... well, I mean, I just wanted to change.
So, I decided to stay at the “Suiden Terrace”, a hotel in Tsuruoka City, Yamagata Prefecture, which had been in my mind for some time. I didn't have to go sightseeing anywhere. I wanted to eat some locally fresh dishes at the hotel, take a hot spring, and relax. That’s just what I wanted.

Arriving at the hotel, the stylish exterior gives the impression that the place is for young people, but there seems to be a wide range of customers, including solo travelers, families with small children, elderly couples, and friends.

The hotel’s atmosphere is warm and simple, embracing all kinds of people. The meals were prepared with fresh, local produce. Everything was cozy and comfortable for me. Besides all this, I should note that the selection of books in the hotel's libraries (there are two!) is excellent. I felt my senses being sharpened by the shower of beautiful words from books and felt myself regaining my energy.
Later, while soaking in the hot spring, I was thinking about the project that brought me to the hotel.
“Any work I create would never be more or less than what I am capable of now. Some people may judge someone else’s work as better than mine, but I should work more on myself and grow as I work hard.”
It was a great benefit of this trip that I could think like that, which was the most highlighted part.

Now, I have begun to see the value in staying at a hotel to cheer myself up.
