At dawn the mother claimed the first of flames
And nurtured the daughters in her blistered hands
In which the fire still had been kept tame

At dusk the mother wreaked on the sunlit land
Mass destruction, soon to be consumed
By deadly heat that none could ever stand

And so was brought the people's final doom
All that's left are smoulders, embers and fumes
