Real Liaison between Japan and the World
Donald Keene sensei was my inspiration ever since I started studying English. I was touched by his great contribution to Japanese literature as well as how he dealt with Japanese soldiers during/after the war. I hope I can carry on with his peace loving attitude connecting Japan and the world. May he rest in peace.
ドナルド・キーン博士が他界されました。キーン先生は私が世界へ飛び出すきっかけと日本文学の美しさを再認識させてくださった方。何よりも、彼の平和主義な生き方が私は大好きです。私もキーン博士の生き方を実践していける人になりたいです。May he rest in peace.
