Mel inspired me from TED talk sensationally.
The way she talks and presents her idea passionately cannot stop anyone who watched it to admire her.

She is famous for “The 5 Second Rule”.
Having an experience to overcome ADHD and traumatic cognitive behavior, she suggests own method of boosting motivation for the better life.
Including goal achievement, self-love, self-compassion and self-esteem, she covers many themes related to modern mental issue solving which we often encounter.

In this book, she reveals own experience to overcome a dilemma which has a huge gap between the dream and the reality.

Whenever you suffer in the current situation and struggle to get out of there, you ask in your mind, “why do you want it?”. If you know the answer, there’s no excuse.

Just go, get out of bed, start whatever the action and attack what you have to do.

By introducing one habit, giving you a high 5 in the morning while you wash your teeth, she explains it gives you the time to love, affirm, respect, cheer up, encourage, motivate and accept yourself.

To block your dream, your brain signals a lot.

“Who are you jealous of?”
“Which parts are you not like?”
“What is it about these people and what they are doing, or what they have, that calls to you?”

It is okay to feel jealous or negative feeling against successful people.
It means you are interested in what they’re doing or how they’re behaving.
And it also means that if someone else can do you can do.
Go get resources, ask questions or try it from what you have. Only thing blocking your success is your mind.

Current belief: What will everyone think?
Flip it: My happiness is MORE important that what anyone else thinks about it.

The need to fit in and the desire for approval is so indoctrolling in you.
You aren’t aware of how much it’s controlling your day-to-day life.
Once you noticed the importance to prioritize your own desire, you’re the driver and you’re controlling your life.
