タイトルからも伝わってくるけど、この作品は、もともと、2020年初頭のパンデミックシャットダウンの間、不安や鬱に悩んでいたかもしれない親しい友人や家族など、近しい人のために作った、カセットテープのみのとてもパーソナルな作品だったそう。この作品の音を聞くと、それがすごくよくわかるような気がする。

レーベルの作品説明に、「ソウル・ジャズ・アンビエント・セラピー」って書いてて、その言葉すごく好きだなって思ったんだけど、ほんとその通りで、心が温まる音、落ち着く音、自由な音、安眠もできる音。

リリースされてから、普段のヨガクラスでもよくかけている、大好きな作品。
ジャケットやテープも可愛い。

“I hope you are well" is a piece by LA-based artist Moki Kawaguchi's solo project Lionmilk.

As you can tell from the title, this piece was originally a very personal cassette tape piece made for close friends and family who may have been struggling with anxiety & depression during early 2020 pandemic shutdown. When I listen to the sound of this piece, I feel like I understand it very well.

In the label's description of this piece, it says, “souljazz ambient therapy," and I thought I really liked that word, and it's true, it's a sound that warms my heart, calms me, gives me freedom, and allows me to sleep peacefully.

Since it release, I've been playing it a lot in my yoga classes, and I love it.
And the cover and tape are also cute.
