毎週1アルバム訳すつもりで頑張ってる。
ちょっと順番が前後して一番最後のトラックを訳してしまったのだけれど、I SEE STARSのTruehouseから"Yellow King"だ。
何をもってYellowなのかも分からなければ、途中の歌詞も結構意味が分からないまま訳してしまっているので、アルバムを全訳したらもう一度やり直そうと思っている。多分このアルバムは夢を追う二人の道が違えてしまった、ということを全体的に歌ってる気がするんだけどなあ。まだまだ僕はこの曲の核心には触れられてないように思います。
でも曲の美しさだけは分かっているつもり。

lay it on meのitが何を指しているのか分からなかったり、君というのが自分自身の影なのかそれとも同じ夢を追い遥か遠くまで行ってしまった友人なのか……とか、少しまだ読み取れていないところがある。
でもアルバム全体を通して夢とかそれを一緒に追いかけていた相手がいるとか、そういうことは恐らく変わってない。と思うので、引き続きGenius Lyricの解説を掻い摘みながら進めていきます。
