マルタ留学🇲🇹トラブル相談編

マルタ留学で一番初めに困ったことはホストファミリートラブルでした。わたしがお世話になった家はスリーマにあるアパルトマンで、７６歳のおばあちゃんの一人暮らし。それ自体は特に珍しくない家族構成だそうですが、初日からわたしが来ることを把握していない、人数、期間、国籍を勘違いしていて、出だしから怪しさムンムンでした。結論から言うと、ホストマザーは認知症だったそうです。会話が噛み合わない、質問に答えると激高する等々…。海外が初めてのわたしはホームステイも初めてで、これが一般的なのかそうでないのかがわかりませんでしたが、日々過ごすうちに怖くなり、レジデンスに移動するため、学校のレジデンス担当窓口のスタッフに説明する原稿を書きました。Google翻訳も使いながら事実と意思を英語で作文するのはなかなか難しかったです。いちおうなんとか正しく伝わり、スタッフからもホストファミリーの件で謝罪がありました。（認知症であること以外にもひどいことを言われたりしたので、それは日本のスタッフ経由で話をしました）できればもうこういったことは経験せずに人生を過ごしたいと思います。備忘録と当時のわたしをねぎらい褒めるために、その時の英文を載せます。言葉の使いまわし等おかしなところがあれば教えていただけると勉強になります！

I have a consultation about my host family. My Host mother suspected of having dementia. She doesn't know the day of the week or date,and when I answer,she gets angry. She hides from her daughter that I am coming to homestay. On Saturday,she was kicked out of her home during breakfast because she had a daughter. The other day when she was talking to her daughter on the phone,the host mother was talking about dementia. And she seems to haven't taken any medicine that she needs to take. I was using a shower room yesterday,don't use it here! And received attention. When I confirmed to her on the first day,she was allowed,but she didn't remember. Even in everyday conversation,she often forgets that I told her 10 minutes ago. I can't stand this situation. I want you to change to a residense with double rooms. How much does it cost?
