ウィル・スミスがアカデミー賞授賞式でプレゼンターに自身の妻の容貌をからかわれる発言をされて静かに壇上に上がりプレゼンターに平手打ちを見舞った。
Will Smith quietly went up to the stage and slapped the presenter at the Academy Awards ceremony when the presenter made a statement about his wife's appearance. 

公衆の面前ではっきりと暴力を振るったのでウィル・スミスは責任を問われている。
プレゼンターの発言は人間が自分では変更できない容貌をからかうという言葉の暴力であり、暴力を最初に振るったのはプレゼンターの方である。
Will Smith has been held liable for his explicit violence in public. The presenter's remark is the violence of the word that human beings make fun of the appearance that cannot be changed by themselves, and it is the presenter who first wields the violence. 

個人的な意見だがウィル・スミスは男としては間違ってないと思う。多くの人がウィル・スミスに同情的なのは男として間違っていない格好いい振る舞いに理由がある。
In my opinion, Will Smith is not wrong as a man. Many people are sympathetic to Will Smith because of their cool behavior, which is not wrong as a man. 

ウィル・スミスは家族の名誉のために仕返しをしたのであり、これ以上彼に必要以上のペナルティを課さないで欲しいと思う。
Will Smith has revenged for the honor of his family and I hope he will not be penalized any more.

ウィル・スミスは平手打ちの責任を取り米アカデミーを退会した模様。
