DAY 12 グッズについて。 Part 1

DVD届いた！

朝起きてニュース見たら、「また長い一週間になりそうだな」。そう思って起きてしまった。アメリカは今年の総選挙に勢いを感じます。アメリカは選挙権年齢は18歳からなので今年は私の初選挙権。少し責任感が感じて毎日ニュースをチェックしてます。

18日の金曜の夕方に郵便が届きました。小さい頃からお世話になってる母の親友からの郵便でした。郵便には私が大好きな栗の缶詰や日本ならばのスナック。そんな中、すっかり忘れてた物が届きました。

見た瞬間嬉しすぎて、その後の授業全然集中できなかった。嬉しかったけど、未だに見てない（忙しくて）。DVDを払ってくれた母が仕事終わって、真っ先に見てました。隣の部屋から楽しい音を聞きながら授業に出たと言う地獄。

送料は高い！昔船便あった時期の値段は払える程度でしたけど、今はとにかく高い。

よく海外ヲタのツイッターで写真上げてる人がいますげど私はあえて上げてません。やはり日本で買うより高いし、みんなが購入できる物では無い。学校でみんなが最新の流行り物を見せ合ってる感じかな。特に小学校の時、自分だけが持ってないとの嫉妬が耐えれなかった。まぁ、知らないうちなぜか流行り物にディスる人になってしまったが。

いつも親と祖父母に買ってもらってる事に正直甘えてます。他の家庭はどうでしょう？アメリカでは子供のころ甘えて、大人になった瞬間手放す話はよく聞きます。小さい頃から憧れてる祖父みたいに仕事を頑張って、お金を稼いで、そして恩返しをしたい。近づいてきたかなと思いきやまだまだ先のようですね。

About Goods Part 1

If you haven’t seen by the large picture that was sandwiched between those texts, yes my goods have finally arrived! Shipping has been so whack recently. It took a mail to deliver to the city next over a whole 2 weeks. 2 weeks! I rely on the USPS so much they better keep it running.

To this day, I have no clue how people order their goods through the proxy system. It sounds so expensive to me. I typically have it shipped to my grandmother's or my mother’s best friend’s place and pick it up when I visit Japan. Because a lot happened this year, I luckily recieved all these goods. 

As far as I can recall I’ve never posted my goods (unless it was during my desperate phase) because of two main reasons. The first being I typically don’t pay for my goods. I feel that I have no right to show off something I didn’t even purchase. While everyone works and is purchasing goods with their own earnings, you could say I’m just leeching off of my mother. The second reason is understanding that not everyone can purchase it. Considering how expensive shipping is and different circumstances, being able to purchase goods is a luxury. I know no one has the intention of posting it online for the purpose of flaunting how much of a dedicated fan they are but I know I would be seen that way simply because of my personality. 

I still haven’t watched the DVD even though it’s been a few days since it arrived. My mother already watched it without me and is waiting for me to make time so she can rewatch it with me. It’s so funny watching it with her because of how we start over-analyzing everything. 

Completely off-topic but I’ve been listening to Aaron Yan’s new song on repeat this entire time and now I’m starting to think that the song isn’t as bad as I’ve been saying. His vocals are nice and the music is cute, it’s just not a song I was expecting.
