CGI

I watched a movie last night called "Morbius." I found it while searching the many streaming services - U-Next, Netflix, Amazon Prime. My criteria for choosing a movie to watch these days is "Is it something that I haven't seen?" This movie fit the criteria. The movie had plenty of action, but not much of a story so I found myself dozing off. It was the typical "superhero origin" story and was full of CGI. CGI used to be a novelty but now has become standard and, it seems, the more CGI the less of a story the movie has. This film supported that notion. The movies of the 60s and 70s, for example, were stories with depth that made you think and sometimes even made you uncomfortable, but they never put you to sleep.
