About my experience at "Meet The VR Sexologist(s) On VRrOOm @VRChat"

I haven't been playing VRChat for a long time nor have I been a VTuber for that long. 

Lately I've found myself wondering, what if I developed feelings for another VTuber or a VRChat player? As an anthropologist I talk with some of them and slowly begin to form friendly relationships... As I begin to discover more about those individuals, not only do I become attracted to their personalities (not specifically in the romantic manner), but I also find myself asking the question "And what if I fall in love? What about sex?". 

Somebody told me about this "Meet The VR Sexologist(s) on VRrOOM @VRChat" podcast" and I decided to check it out. Following are some notes taken while listening to the conference.

Our generation is so well connected digitally, we can go anywhere and meet new individuals. However, at some point we have to go back and we end up missing each other... VRChat can be a tool for sustaining those connections. However, it is difficult to describe to friends and family how people can fall in love in an era of virtual reality and how they can sustain their relationships 

VRChat is a social virtual game. As producers of our avatars, we have the liberty of choosing who we want to be, and the avatar that we choose directly impacts how be behave. For example the size off the avatar can have a direct impact on user's behaviour: those with small avatars have a tendency to take on the "pet" role. 

Now let's talk about Erotic Role Play (ERP). According to the experts, there're three stages of relationships 1) lust (if you see another avatar that sexually attracts you it can lead to a sexual relation); 2) relationships/marriages in VRChat (individuals can have the feeling and the joy of experience with another person, however, it stays in the real of the game. The actions do not take place in-front of the law and stay in the fairytale world); 3) deciding to go beyond the virtual and meet in the physical world. 

VRChat can also be a space for couple to try new things and liberate themselves, becoming more imaginative and creative with their desire. 

One thing is for sure, although VRChat it virtual, the memories are real.
