221024 My travel hopes and dreams

アフリカの仕事はだいたい2〜3週間という短期の出張で行っていたが、今年は少し長めにしてもらってその間にまずはモロッコへ行けたらいいなと思っていた。

けれど今年は行く機会がなくてまだ叶わぬ夢だ。

I was working in Africa on a short business trip of about two to three weeks in last year, but this year I was hoping that I could get a little longer and go to Morocco in the meantime.

But this year, I haven't had a chance to go, so it's a dream that hasn't come true yet.

スペインやポルトガルも面白そう。

スペインもまだ一度も行ったことがないので、バルセロナの建築やバスク地方の食べ物など興味は尽きない。

ポルトガルは、昔沢木耕太郎の本を読んで行ったという人の話を聞いていたら行ってみたいと思った。なんでも、イワシなどの魚を店の前で焼いていたりするのがとても日本と似ているそうだ。

Spain and Portugal will be fun, too.

I've never been to Spain before, so I'm interested in Barcelona architectures and Basque food.

When I heard about Portugal from Portugal from a person who had been to the coutry after reading Sawaki Kotaro's book, I wanted to go to Portugal.
It is said that it is very similar to Japan when fish such as sardines are grilled in front of shops.

ところで、
私は1人で異国を旅行することに少し不安がある。

I'm a little worried about traveling abroad alone.

追記

気ままに一人旅をしたいけど、道中一人では不便なこともあるわけで、旅は人生と似ているというけれど、そういうことかもしれない。
