How to write kanji Yon (四)

Today's kanji is "Yon." So, let's start by explaining a little more about the word.

This kanji is called both “yon” and “shi”. The way to write it is difficult to explain, but I'll do my best!

This kanji is drawn using 5 lines.

Before I draw these kanji, I will first prepare a kanji box. Imagine that your kanji are inside an invisible square box. This box will stop you drawing your kanji too big or too small.

First, we draw a vertical line on the left. From the top of the vertical line, we draw half a square.
Next, Inside the box, we draw a curving line and a hook shaped line from the top of the box. Draw the curving line on the left side first.
Then draw the hooked shaped line on the right side. The two lines will look a little like a moustache!
Finally, we complete the box by drawing a horizontal line at the bottom of the box.

“Yon” is complete!!
