2024/05/22 A contribution to #worldschizophreniaday

Good morning 🙏
When looking at profiles of people battling illnesses,
For women… they have boyfriends or husbands.
For men… they don't have girlfriends or wives.
That's the general trend!
In the real world too, a female PSW (Psychiatric Social Worker) at the hospital introduced herself to me with a preface, "I am married."
There are single men who aren't ill, but they probably don't feel this level of despair.
Ching! Kong! Truly, this is like the temple of the Lotus Sutra…
Oh, maybe not.
Out of spite, I added "unmarried" to my profile.
I had never tried this before.
I added it as an attribute after my diagnosis.
There's a dating app for followers in their 50s.
But, you know, people in their 50s are generally established and successful.
No one wants to be with someone like me who has been struggling with mental illness since the appropriate age for marriage.
It's like the Hodaka mountain range, where even birds don't visit and climbers don't willingly go.
That's why that PSW suggested finding a partner from among fellow patients.
