just do it

It's been a while since I've been back to university in Japan. The campus is massive, and returning here fills me with nostalgia, especially since I took two years off to study abroad. Before class today, I visited the G-lounge, a popular spot for exchange students who are eager to learn the Japanese language. I made some friends there—one from the US and another from Mexico. I hesitated before dropping by because I felt a bit lazy (making new friends requires energy) and embarrassed. However, once I overcame those silly barriers, a fun experience immediately awaited me. I deeply felt that it was really beneficial for me to go there—new friends, new thoughts, new experiences. If you hesitate because of shyness or laziness, just go for it.

takeaways from learning

  • Attaching the SUID (Set User ID) to a file allows a user to execute the file with the file owner's permissions. While this feature can be utilized for legitimate purposes, it also presents a potential vulnerability that could be exploited for privilege escalation in hacking scenarios.

  • Mobile Device Management (MDM) is a tool designed to control mobile devices, such as smartphones, tablets, and PCs. It enables organizations to ensure the security and compliance of their mobile devices with corporate policies.

  • At this moment, foundational knowledge is crucial for me. Understanding the demand for AI, which leads to an increased need for semiconductor chips, subsequently causes a rise in demand for NVIDIA's products. Such base knowledge is essential to predict future trends and developments.
