Just a thought…

I took a picture of this tree which stood in the middle of the trail. This tree is visibly old and has been through some adversity; more gray and drier than healthy ones around there. Yet, it stood straight with no branches or leaves. This tree made me think.Things happen in our daily life, which is nothing but an unexpected course of events. Having a quiet life, no matter how much we wish we could, is impossible. Life is uncertain; good and bad. A quote from William Shakespear’s tragedy, Hamlet says, “There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.” I’ve encountered similar quotes from other philosophers as well.So now, do I look at this tree as a withered tree, or a tenacious tree?
